Tucked away in the Homapal manufacturing facility in Herzberg am Harz, Germany, is a small group of highly skilled artisans some call “the Picasso Department.” This team is tasked with refining the textures, patterns and colours of each Gestures metal décor using a variety of metalworking techniques.  

This endeavor includes a skillful combination of mechanical approaches, such as sanding, polishing, and UV-coating each sheet, and hand-colouring to get just the right look and finish. Through this process, the Picasso Department transforms aluminum, copper and brass laminates into the exceptional surfaces of the Gestures collection. In fact, each Gestures décor is individually enhanced to create a sense of movement, depth and individuality.  

The Picasso Department’s metallic panels give an extraordinary appearance and memorable tactile experience to contemporary interior design and furniture.
